Hi Guys, You may or may not remember me; that does not matter. I came in a couple of weeks ago and bought what might (in hi-fi speak) be described as ‘entry-level or budget hi-fi’ kit (Marantz CD6002, Marantz PM6002, Monitor Audio Bronze BR2, Chord Carnival Silverscreen & Crimson interconnects). One thing that I have learned in this life is that people will tell you pretty quickly when they are unhappy with what you have sold them; people are less inclined to let you know when they are happy with it – they simply expect that it should be so and they get on with being happy. Well, I just wanted to take a few moments to let you know that I am ‘dead chuffed’ with my new kit. As I mentioned to you when I was buying the kit, if this was a car it would be the ‘second car’ – the ‘run-around’. The study in which it must reside is far from ideal in terms of size, shape and space. Yet this kit is brilliant; I have been staggered at the incredible performance of such affordable, ‘entry-level’ kit. At present I am doing an awful lot of writing and, hence. Spending a lot of time at the desk; having decent kit on which to listen to music is keeping me sane! It is certainly earning its keep!
