Andover Audio SpinBase 2 Powered Turntable Speaker

Build a compact vinyl system around the Andover Audio SpinBase 2. Designed to sit beneath your turntable, it combines powered stereo speakers, a built-in phono stage and two-way Bluetooth in one cabinet. Add a suitable turntable and enjoy your records without finding space for a separate amplifier and pair of speakers. Turntable sold separately.

Spacious Sound from One Cabinet

The 270° speaker arrangement spreads sound from the front and sides, creating broad coverage from a single enclosure. Dual Direct Drive bi-amplification supplies 70W in total to two soft-dome tweeters and two oval woofers. Keep the sides clear to let the driver array perform as intended.

Easy Control from Your Listening Seat

Adjust volume, select a source and tailor bass or treble using the supplied remote. A discreet four-character display behind the grille shows settings without dominating the front panel. The central control knob also provides access to everyday functions, keeping operation straightforward when the remote is out of reach.

IsoGroove Technology for Vinyl Playback

Andover's patented IsoGroove technology is designed to control the vibration transfer that can cause acoustic feedback when a turntable sits above a speaker. Place the system on a rigid, stable surface to get the benefit of this compact arrangement; soft supports and enclosed cabinets should be avoided.

Bluetooth in Both Directions

Receive music from a compatible phone or tablet, or transmit your records to Bluetooth headphones or speakers. For private listening, switch the built-in speakers off using the remote or front-panel controls. Bluetooth transmission introduces delay, so additional wireless speakers may produce an echo if played alongside the built-in speakers.

Connections Beyond Your Turntable

Use the optical digital input for a compatible TV, CD player or streamer, with support up to 24-bit/96kHz. The USB socket plays MP3, WMA and WAV files from a flash drive, while AUX accepts line-level sources. A headphone output and line/subwoofer output provide further listening options.

A Phono Stage Built In

Connect a suitable turntable with a magnetic cartridge to the phono input when its output has not already been amplified by a phono stage. If your turntable's built-in preamp is active, use AUX instead. A grounding terminal is provided for turntables with a separate ground lead.

Room to Grow Your System

The line/subwoofer output lets you add a powered subwoofer, such as the separately available SpinSub. Engage the selectable 100Hz high-pass filter when using a subwoofer to reduce deep bass demands on the built-in speakers. An optional SpinStand brings the turntable and speaker together with record storage.

A Finish to Suit Your Space

Choose Black or White, each with a heathered fabric grille and internally braced MDF enclosure. The low-profile cabinet keeps the system visually simple beneath a turntable. Turntables, stands, subwoofers and other equipment shown in the photographs are separate products.
