Andover Audio SpinBase MAX 2 Powered Turntable Speaker

The Andover Audio SpinBase MAX 2 combines a six-driver stereo speaker system, built-in amplification and a phono stage in a cabinet designed to sit beneath your turntable. With more power and larger woofers than the SpinBase 2, it brings extra bass capability to a compact vinyl setup. Turntable sold separately.

Six Drivers, 100W of Amplification

Four 3.5-inch woofers and two silk-dome tweeters are powered by 100W total Dual Direct Drive bi-amplification. A 270° sound field spreads music from the front and sides of the cabinet, while the quoted 50Hz–20kHz frequency range supports fuller bass than the standard SpinBase 2.

Control Your Music from the Sofa

The included IR remote puts volume, source selection and bass and treble adjustment within easy reach. A discreet four-character display behind the grille shows the selected settings, while the central control knob also provides access to everyday functions. Choose the balance that suits your music and room.

IsoGroove Technology for Compact Vinyl Systems

Patented IsoGroove technology is designed to limit the vibration transfer that can cause acoustic feedback when a turntable sits directly above a speaker. Place the system on a solid, rigid surface and leave its sides unobstructed. Avoid soft supports and enclosed cabinets so the compact arrangement can perform as intended.

Two-Way Bluetooth Listening

Receive music wirelessly from a compatible phone, tablet or computer, or transmit audio to Bluetooth headphones and speakers. The built-in speakers can be switched off for private listening. Bluetooth transmission introduces delay, so playing additional wireless speakers alongside the internal speakers may produce an echo.

Connect Your Existing Turntable

Use the built-in phono stage with a suitable magnetic cartridge when the turntable's output has not already passed through a phono preamp. If its built-in preamp is active, connect to AUX instead. A grounding terminal accommodates a separate turntable ground lead. This flexibility suits a wide range of vinyl setups.

Play More Than Records

An optical input accepts compatible digital sources up to 24-bit/96kHz, while AUX connects line-level equipment. USB flash-drive playback supports MP3, WMA and WAV files stored in the drive's root directory. A headphone output provides another listening option, and the line/sub output connects a powered subwoofer or additional powered speakers.

Make the System Your Own

Choose Black or White with a heathered fabric grille and internally braced MDF cabinet. Add a separately available powered subwoofer and engage the selectable 100Hz high-pass filter using the remote to reduce bass demands on the built-in speakers. Turntables, stands and other equipment pictured are separate products.
