Originally released on Factory Records in March 1983, the single has become the band’s most recognisable track.

While Blue Monday is actually a landmark single released in 1983, New Order’s groundbreaking fusion of post-punk and electronic dance music defined the ’80s alternative scene. The song’s innovative synth basslines and danceable beats made it one of the best-selling 12-inch singles ever and a club anthem for decades.
