The KEF Ci160.2CR is a discrete in ceiling speaker for any home installation. It's features allows sound to be dispersed more evenly throughout the room. The extremely shallow mounting depth allows you to install the Ci160.2CR where other speakers in its class just won’t fit.
KEF's Ci-C Series offers an ideal introduction to the world of custom installation speakers. Featuring KEF's sophisticated 'sit anywhere' Uni-Q driver array, which places the tweeter in the acoustic centre of the bass/midrange cone, this allows both the tweeter and woofer to act as a single point source that disperses the sound widely and evenly throughout the room.
The KEF Ci160,2CR has been designed to be a high-performance shallow mounting speaker for flush mounting on a ceiling. This is the coincidence point source configuration that includes a 16 mm high frequency aluminium dome tweeter mounted in the acoustic core of the 160 mm low-frequency woofer. Kef uses patented Uni-Q ® Technology. The tweeter uses KEF's Tangerine Waveguide designed to enhance high frequency dispersion, and when coupled with the Uni-Q series, it produces a speaker that provides incredibly smooth and clear sound across a large listening area. The KEF Ci160.2CR is made with weather-resistant materials and the Ultra-Thin Bezel and grille are treated with a UV protective coating making this speaker ideal for background, foreground, and announcement applications in indoor and outdoor venues such as hotel rooms, corridors and school hallways.
