The Rotel A11 Tribute is a 50W per channel Class AB integrated amplifier developed in collaboration with legendary audio engineer Ken Ishiwata. Building on the original A11, the Tribute edition features carefully selected component upgrades and extensive fine-tuning, resulting in a more refined, engaging and musical performance.

With over four decades of experience in hi-fi engineering, Ken Ishiwata was renowned for his meticulous approach to sound quality. His collaboration with Rotel focused on extracting even greater performance from the A11's established design, with particular attention paid to the amplifier's signal path, power supply and overall acoustic characteristics. The resulting improvements bring greater clarity, detail and expression to music, while retaining the power and control associated with Rotel amplification.

Carefully Refined Engineering

At the heart of the A11 Tribute is an oversized toroidal transformer, manufactured in-house by Rotel to provide a stable and consistent power supply. Delivering 50 watts per channel into 8 ohms, its Class AB amplification combines controlled bass, natural midrange detail and smooth high-frequency reproduction.

The Tribute edition goes further than the standard A11, incorporating upgraded capacitors and resistors throughout key sections of the audio circuitry. Additional improvements to the preamplifier and output stages, together with carefully applied chassis damping, help minimise unwanted vibration and interference.

These refinements contribute to a balanced and expressive presentation, with impressive separation between instruments, convincing vocals and a sense of scale that makes the A11 Tribute equally enjoyable with intimate acoustic recordings and more demanding music.

Versatile Connectivity

The A11 Tribute offers a useful range of connections for building a traditional hi-fi system while accommodating modern listening habits.

Four RCA line-level inputs provide connections for sources such as CD players, network streamers and other audio components. Vinyl enthusiasts are also catered for with a dedicated Moving Magnet phono input, allowing a compatible turntable to be connected without requiring a separate phono preamplifier.

For wireless listening, Bluetooth connectivity supports both aptX and AAC codecs, making it easy to stream music directly from a compatible smartphone, tablet or other Bluetooth-enabled device.

Simple, Practical Operation

Despite its carefully developed internal engineering, the A11 Tribute remains refreshingly straightforward to use. Its clean front panel features a clear display and conveniently positioned controls, while the supplied remote provides easy access to everyday functions from the listening position.

A/B speaker switching provides additional flexibility for systems with two pairs of speakers, while adjustable bass and treble controls allow the sound to be tailored to personal preferences and room acoustics.
