A Day of Physical Media – McIntosh & Sonus Faber Experience

Join us at our Manchester store for a special event celebrating the enduring appeal of physical media, in partnership with McIntosh and Sonus Faber.

Taking place on 7th May from 12pm to 7pm, this is a chance to experience vinyl and CD replay at its very best across two carefully curated systems. Whether you’re rediscovering a favourite album or hearing something new, our team will be on hand throughout the day to guide you through the setups and answer any questions.

Customers booking into our main demo sessions are also welcome to bring along their own vinyl, making this a more personal listening experience.

Main Demo Room Experience

Our dedicated demo room will host a series of relaxed listening sessions throughout the day, each lasting around 40–50 minutes with limited spaces available.

Here, you’ll hear a premium system built around the McIntosh MA352 amplifier, paired with the MT2 turntable and the stunning Sonus Faber Sonetto VIII speakers. This combination delivers a rich, detailed and engaging sound that perfectly suits vinyl playback. With smaller group sizes, these sessions offer a more focused and immersive way to enjoy your music.

Open Listening on the Shop Floor

Alongside the main sessions, we’ll also have a second system running on the shop floor for more informal listening. Featuring the McIntosh MA252 amplifier, MCD85 CD player and Sonus Faber Sonetto V speakers, this setup is ideal for those who prefer CD or want to drop in without booking.

Feel free to bring along your own CDs and spend some time exploring the system at your own pace.

The event runs from 12pm to 7pm on 7th May at our Manchester store. You’re welcome to drop in, or book a place in one of the main demo sessions for a more in-depth experience. All visitors on the day will also be entered into a prize draw to win an ultra rare limited edition McIntosh pressed album from Johnny Cash, worth over £170, as well as other vinyl prizes. Throughout the day, you can book a place in one of our 40–50 minute demo sessions in the main listening room, while a second system will also be available on the shop floor for more informal, walk-in listening. You’re welcome to bring along your own vinyl or CDs to try on the systems, and our in-store team will be on hand to offer guidance and answer any questions. All visitors will also be entered into a prize draw for the chance to win one of three great prizes for free records.
