Join us at for a series of special events featuring two of the latest additions to Michi’s Prestige range – the Q430 CD Player and X430 Integrated Amplifier.

Sitting at the very top of Rotel’s hi-fi offering, Michi is about taking proven engineering ideas and pushing them further. The Q430 and X430 bring that philosophy together in a formidable two-box system, combining a dedicated disc source with a powerful, exceptionally well-equipped integrated amplifier.

Prestige Q430 - A CD Player Built for the Format

The Prestige Q430 is very deliberately a dedicated CD player. At a time when many products treat disc playback as an added feature, Michi has concentrated on extracting as much performance as possible from the format.

A high-quality floating CD mechanism is partnered with an ultra-quiet power supply manufactured in-house, with multiple isolated voltage regulators used to minimise electrical noise before it can reach the audio circuitry.

At the heart of the digital section is a differential ESS SABRE ES9028PRO 8-channel DAC configured specifically for stereo operation. The result is a player designed to reveal fine detail, ambience and precise stereo imaging while remaining clean and controlled.

The Q430 provides both RCA single-ended and fully balanced XLR outputs, making it straightforward to partner with a wide range of high-end amplifiers. Its full-colour front display can show album artwork and playback information, while the precision-machined aluminium chassis and aluminium remote reflect the same attention to detail found inside.

It is a reassuringly substantial approach to a format many music lovers still value – not simply because of nostalgia, but because a well-recorded CD played on a genuinely capable machine can still sound superb.

Serious Power from the X430

The Prestige X430 Integrated Amplifier provides 210 watts per channel into 8 ohms and 340 watts per channel into 4 ohms, giving it the reserves needed to control even demanding loudspeakers.

Its Class AB output stages use custom-tuned push-pull high-current transistors, backed by a substantial toroidal transformer manufactured in-house by Rotel. Critical circuits and power supplies are carefully isolated to help keep noise and distortion extremely low.

The emphasis is not simply on headline power, but on control, dynamic range and the ability to remain composed when the music becomes demanding.

The X430 is equally comfortable at the centre of a modern system. Its ESS SABRE ES9039Q2M 32-bit DAC is joined by coaxial, optical and PC-USB digital inputs, with support for PCM up to 32-bit/384kHz and DSD256/4X with DoP. There is also aptX HD and AAC Bluetooth, HDMI ARC for television sound, a moving-magnet phono stage, three RCA analogue inputs, dual subwoofer outputs and selectable A-B speaker terminals.

A large colour display with customisable spectrum and VU meter modes gives the X430 a distinctive visual presence, while retaining the clean, understated look associated with Michi.

Bring along a favourite CD if you like, hear familiar music through the system and get a better sense of its scale, detail and control in a proper demonstration environment.
