If you’re buying a new electrical product from us, we’ll take your old one back and recycle it at no extra cost.
Why recycle?
Electrical waste is the UK’s fastest-growing type of household waste. Many items can be repaired or recycled, saving natural resources and helping the environment. Left in landfill, electrical equipment can leak hazardous substances, harming soil, water, wildlife — and human health.
How we can help
At Sevenoaks Sound & Vision, we offer a free take-back service in all our stores to comply with the WEEE Regulations. Just bring in your old equipment when you buy a new one, and we’ll make sure it’s recycled responsibly.
Look out for the crossed-out wheeled bin symbol on electrical items — it’s a reminder that these products should not go in your household bin.
What is WEEE?
The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive aims to make sure electrical waste is collected and processed in an environmentally friendly way. Retailers like us must offer customers a way to recycle old items free of charge, at least on a like-for-like basis when you buy new equipment.
